The city of Sherbrooke is holding a competition for the creation of a public art installation at the Rock-Forest recreation center (CRRF), in preparation for the 58th Finale des Jeux du Québec, to be held in the winter of 2024 at the site. Prospective professional visual artists or craftspeople from the Eastern Townships region are invited to submit an application for the public art integration contest until April 17.

In a press release announcing the competition, Sherbrooke mayor Évelyne Beaudin expressed excitement at the competition and the prospect of new public art in the region. “It is important to beautify our public spaces,” reads the statement, “this future work will be a beautiful addition to the Rock Forest Recreation Centre.”
