Cookshire-Eaton Water advisory lifted

Record Staff – The water advisory issued for Cookshire-Eaton was lifted on Tuesday after tests showed that water quality within the distribution system met norms and represents no risk to public health. Although the water is now considered safe to drink and cook with, the community has advised residents to open their cold water taps and let the water run for a few minutes before using it to flush their pipes of any residue. People are also encouraged to empty and wash their coffee and ice machines, including automatic distributors and those built into refrigerators, and to also flush hose outlets. It is not necessary, however, to flush hot water tanks. See full story in the Friday, May 10 edition of The Record.
