Quebec has a total of 1,599 COVID-19 related deaths, up 84 from the day before.
There are 24, 982 confirmed cases in the province, an increase of 875 from yesterday.
Of those, 821 are in the Estrie Region.
There are 1,541 patients in hospital because of the virus, 210 of whom are in intensive care.
Premier Legault pointed out that 75 of the deaths in the last day were people from long-term care centres. The other nine were people in their own homes, he said, reiterating Quebec’s priority to take better care of long-term care facilities.
