Due to the current labour shortage, CIUSSS de l’Estrie-CHUS users in Granby and Bromont who require COVID-19 testing should present at the testing centres as of 7:45 a.m. to be given a coupon with a time slot to return later in the day for screening. Places are limited, and some users’ appointments may be pushed to the following day. The coupon system will remain in effect for the coming days to avoid lineups at the two testing centres.
Quebec is reporting 587 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of people infected in the province since the beginning of the pandemic to 404,291. There are 6,384 active cases in the province. According to public health, 386,572 people have recovered from the virus.
Nine new deaths were reported, for a total of 11,335 deaths.
Hospitalizations decreased by six for a total of 274, and 86 patients were in intensive care, a decrease of six compared to the previous day.
In the Estrie region 155 new cases were reported since Friday, bringing the number of local active cases to 262.
