By Emilie Hackett, Special to The Record – Creative Mornings is a monthly breakfast club and lecture series targeted towards the creative community but open to everyone. A free breakfast and short talk are held once a month on a Friday morning spread over 202 cities around the world. Sherbrooke is one of the 11 chapters in Canada and will be hosting Bishop’s University’s philosophy professor Jamie Crooks for this month’s talk, under the theme of “Wonder,” on Friday, June 14 at 7:30 a.m. at Chateau F.A.M.E., the former monastery at 319, Queen Street. Breakfast snacks are served from 7:30 a.m. until 8 a.m., when the talk begins. Previous themes have included “Surreal,” “Genius,” and “Pioneer.” Although the Creative Mornings meetings in Sherbrooke are often in French, they have been looking to expand to the Anglophone population.
