Daily cases of COVID-19 still high in Quebec

The province reported 683 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, bringing the total number of people infected since the beginning of the pandemic to 404,974. There are currently 6,449 active cases in Quebec. According to public health, 387,185 people have recovered from the virus.
Five new deaths were reported yesterday, for a total of 11,340 deaths in the province.
Hospitalizations increased by six for a total of 280 compared to the previous day, and 91 patients were in intensive care, for an increase of five compared to the day before.
According to public health, 89 per cent of the eligible population 12 and up has received at least one dose of vaccine against COVID-19, and 84.5 per cent of eligible Quebecers are considered adequately vaccinated.
