For its ninth edition, Sherbrooke’s annual Défi Félix is branching out and putting a focus on bicycle sports. On June 15, the annual fundraising and active living campaign will pedal its way through several local communities to help raise awareness about the benefits of physical activity while also raising funds for the Fondation Quebecoise du Cancer’s Programme a Félix, which supports young people aged 15 to 39 who have received a cancer diagnosis. “The Defi really keeps the fight against cancer accessible for anyone,” said Richard Fortier, President of the Club Cycliste de Sherbrooke. “Come in great numbers to discover or rediscover the health benefits of having a healthy lifestyle. Come and participate in the legacy of Félix Deslauriers.” See full story in the Wednesday, June 5 edition of The Record.
