Sherbrooke’s annual fundraising and active living campaign, the Défi Félix, has announced an adapted version this year which will take place from Aug. 21 to the 29.
The Défi Félix is named in honour of Félix Deslauriers-Hallée, a young Sherbrooke man who died of Cancer at age 20. The event raises fund for the Programme à Félix, an initiative of the Fondation québécoise du cancer that provides support to people aged 15-39 who are living with cancer and their families. Since its founding in 2010 it has raised $315,000.
Based off of Deslauriers-Hallée’s own courage, determination and active lifestyle, the challenge was originally concieved of as a multi-discipline sports day, but the focus was tightened to cycling in 2019.
