Denis Paradis calls for suspension of public ­hearings to expand Coventry dump

Record Staff – Brome-Missisquoi Member of Parliament Denis Paradis has sent a letter to officials in Vermont asking that public hearings regarding the expansion of the landfill site in Coventry, Vt. be suspended until water quality studies in Lake Memphremagog and Lake Champlain and environmental impact studies are completed.
Dated Monday, July 16, the letter was sent to Phil Scott, Governor of Vermont, as well as Julie Moore, Secretary of Natural Resources for the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources. See full story in the Wednesday, July 18 edition of The Record.
