A group of policing students from the Cegep de Sherbrooke have created a fundraiser with the goal of raising funds and awareness around the issue of domestic violence.
Inspired by the above-average number of women murdered in Quebec so far this year, student organizer Ashley Gill said that she and 17 of her classmates organized “Des kilomètres pour Elles” as a multi-pronged approach to try to address the issue of violence against women.
