Never too cold for a dip, especially if you are a duck.
Ignoring the province’s limits on gatherings, this paddling of ducks was seen on Wednesday morning by the bridge in the centre of North Hatley.
“As the ice formed on the lake, they kept backing and backing onto the river,” explained North Hatley resident David Price, who took the photo.
The large gathering has since disbanded. Despite the number, Price said the ducks were relatively quiet, except for the occasional quack. And quite remarkable to look at, he added, saying they are not shy at all to humans wanting to get closer for pictures.
