By Matthew McCully – The Sûreté du Québec received a call Thursday at around 12:30 p.m. regarding debris from a blasting site that had damaged nearby vehicles and buildings on Route 112 in Ascot Corner near chemin Galipeau. According to the SQ, there were no injuries, although one woman was taken to hospital for shock.
An explosives inspector from the SQ was dispatched to the scene. CNESST has also been notified for an investigation to determine how the blasted debris, originating from a nearby worksite, breached its perimeter. Published in the Friday, May 24 edition of The Record.
