Eastern Townships roads to get $124.5 million this summer and next

The Provincial Government will be investing $124.5 million into infrastructure projects across the Eastern Townships over the next two summers, mostly in the form of surface and structure maintenance. Speaking on behalf of Transport Minister Jacques Daoust on Monday morning Pierre Reid, Member of the National Assembly for Orford, said that the work comes as a part of $4.7 billion committed to infrastructure work across the province last month.

“The scale of the investments budgeted for our regional road network demonstrates the attention our government is paying to the transportation of people and products, road safety, and quality of life,” Reid said. “It goes without saying that these investments represent a significant driving force in the local economy.”
