Students in Grades 4, 5 and 6 from St. Luc de Barnston Elementary School spent yesterday on stationary bikes, pedaling in shifts to complete 1,000 km as part of Le Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie. This is the fourth year the school has undertaken the activity, with a goal of promoting an active, healthy lifestyle. According to teacher Éric Robichaud, the students were divided into three groups; one group was stationed in front of Le Coureur in Sherbrooke, another in front of Provigo, and a third group was at the IGA in Coaticook.
