Alain Rayes, Member of Parliament for Richmond-Arthabaska and Quebec political lieutenant for the Conservative Party of Canada, is inviting organizations and businesses in the region to submit a project for the Enabling Accessibility Fund. The call for proposals is open until July 13.
The Enabling Accessibility Fund provides funding for investment projects that increase accessibility for people with disabilities and mobility impairments in communities and workplaces so they can participate in community activities, programs and services or access employment opportunities.
Eligible recipients include not-for-profit organizations, for-profit organizations and municipalities. Funding of up to $100,000 is available for small projects.
“Whether you represent an organization or a business, the Enabling Accessibility Fund is a great opportunity to adapt your environment for people with disabilities or mobility impairments,” commented Rayes in a press release about the call for projects.
