The Eastern Townships School Board announced on Thursday morning that current Commision Scolare des Sommets Director General Christian Provencher will be filling the position at the ETSB as of March 29, taking up the reigns following the announcement that current DG André Turcotte will be resigning. Provencher has served for over ten years with the French board that covers the communities around Asbestos, Magog, Valcourt and Windsor.
“We were very fortunate to attract an application from not only an experienced but a respected director general,” said ETSB Chairman Michael Murray. “He has been in his current position for a number of years and thought it was good for him and good for the board to have some change.”
