Before setting out to prowl the streets in the rain as trick-or-treaters, children all across the Eastern Townships School Board made their ways to school on Wednesday in all manner of disguises. Unicorns, witches and superheroes were popular at Sherbrooke Elementary’s annual costume parade, where classes from Kindergarten to grade six showed off their spooky and sensational get-ups, although it was also possible to spot a washing machine, basketball net, the social media platform Twitter, and a large green monster in the crowd. Teachers and staff also got into the spirit of things, with many not just dressing as their favourite fictional characters, but taking on their roles as well.
