Third Annual Bishops and Champlain student show

Activity is high at le Vieux Forgeron Gallery at 240a Dufferin Street in Stanstead, as a number of graduating students from the art departments of Bishops University and Champlain College once again prepare their newest creations for the gallery’s opening show June 16th to July 3, with a vernissage on Saturday, June 18, from 5-7 pm.
Under the guidance of newly appointed professor, Regine Neuman, these collective exhibitions have proven very popular over the years due to the variety of mediums and stimulating spectrums of approach used by the students, coloured by their different cultural backgrounds and life experiences. The introduction of fibre art to the Bishops Fine Arts department this year was enthusiastically embraced and several students will display works in this incredibly versatile medium.

The gallery would like to thank Professor Neuman and her team for their continued assistance and support in organizing the student exhibitions which require a lot of preparation and attention to detail, especially given the number of artists and the distance involved in transporting the delicate and multi-shaped art works.

The Gallery is open Thursdays – Sundays, from 11 am to 6 pm. For more information contact levieuxforgeron@gmail.com
