Quebec Premier Francois Legault says that he is hoping to take full advantage of the upcoming Federal election to get the province what it is looking for in terms of support from Ottawa. Following a meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Sherbrooke on Thursday morning in which he said repeated subjects that had already been discussed, the premier presented a shopping list of items he hopes to get more movement on from the Federal government including investment in public transit infrastructure, reduction in immigration levels, and compensation for dairy farmers and as a result of asylum seekers. “It is time to take action,” Legault said to reporters, stating that although the conversation was positive, it offered no conclusive answers to any of the province’s desires.
