Whether you identify as a member of the LGBTQIA2S + community, are questioning, or are an ally, people from all walks of life are invited to celebrate sexual and gender diversity for five days in the ninth edition of Fière la Fête in Sherbrooke.
Founded in 2013, Fière la Fête is one of the only events celebrating the LGBTQIA2S + community in the Eastern Townships. Its mission is to improve the visibility and acceptance of gender and sexual diversity among those who live outside of major urban areas.
Since its foundation, Fière la Fête has hosted eight successful pride events, with each one attracting between 300 and 500 people. After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic prompted the cancellation of pride celebrations across the country last year, Fière la Fête changed its plans in order to host virtual pride events instead.
