Firefighters asking to convert Lennoxville fire hall into museum

The City of Sherbrooke is planning to have a new fire station up and running in Lennoxville as of the start of next year, and when that happens, the community’s volunteer firefighters’ association would like to see the current fire hall turned into a museum. A letter signed by Georges Beaulieu and Gerry McNab was presented to Lennoxville’s Borough council last week detailing the plan, which would see a range of items that have been gathered in personal and private collections put together both as a tourist attraction and a way of honouring a group that has, in many ways, been the heart of the Lennoxville community.
