A five-month-old child is in critical condition following an accident at the pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Portland Boulevard and Wilson Street.
According to information from the Sherbrooke Police Service, the accident occurred at approximately 10: 25 a.m. on Sunday morning. A motorist was traveling westbound on Portland while and adult was pushing a stroller across
the street. The driver struck the stroller.
The child’s injuries are considered life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old man, was also taken to hospital and treated for shock.
