Quebec Solidaire Leader Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois will be in Sherbrooke on Monday morning to announce that Dr. Mélissa Généreux will be the party’s candidate for the Saint-Francois riding in this fall’s provincial election.

Although the reason for Nadeau Dubois’ visit was listed only as an “important electoral announcement” in the formal notice issued by the party on Sunday, Sherbrooke MNA Christine Labrie confirmed speculation about the announcement in a post on Facebook saying, “Do you live in Fleurimont, Lennox, Brompton or the Coaticook MRC, and you want Mélissa Généreux to become your MNA? It’s time to become a member of Québec solidaire, because it is as a team that we can win this election!”
