The Sûreté du Québec arrested four men caught in the act of harvesting cannabis plants on Learned Plain Range in Newport in the Haut-Saint-François regional county municipality on Thursday afternoon.
The men, between the ages of 37 and 57, could face charges of drug production and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Police were able to seize more than 275 pounds of bulk pot, ready to be processed for sale and a sport utility vehicle as offense-related property.
The investigation leading up to the raid was the result of information received from the public, police say.
