An accident on the 55 southbound near Bromptonville Tuesday afternoon sent five passengers to hospital and damaged four vehicles, one of which rolled over.
According to Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, injuries ranged from minor to moderate, but there were no life-threatening injuries.
The accident happened around 3 p.m. Bilodeau said. According to a witness report, a heavy truck travelling in the left lane went briefly onto the shoulder of the road creating a cloud of dust and rocks, affecting visibility.
