On Saturday, Sept. 24 the fourth annual Eastern Townships Multiple Myeloma March will take place, starting at 8:30 a.m. at parc Central in Sherbrooke.
Among the participants this year will be Jean-Yves Paquette, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2017. He was 55 years old.
The self-employed father of two had been suffering from severe back pain for several months. Initially, he didn’t think much of it, but when the pain persisted, Paquette made an appointment with his doctor who prescribed pain relievers and advised him to get some rest.
