The Bishop’s Gaiters failed to make any noise at the 2022 Baggataway Cup in Peterborough, Ontario, losing 8-7 to the Brock Badgers in a nail-biting quarter-final matchup on Friday.
After the Gaiters went up 2-0 early in the game, Brock responded with four unanswered goals to end the first quarter up 4-2. Bishop’s would go on to trail the Badgers by one or two goals for most of the game. Gaiters General Manager Drew Pollock said Bishop’s beat themselves.
“Well, I mean, Brock, hats off to them, they played a good game, they’re a talented team, but ultimately I think we beat ourselves. We made too many mistakes. Brock is a talented team, but they’re no more talented than any of the teams we played this year,” Pollock said Monday.
