Georgeville celebrates 225 years

Georgeville celebrated its 225 anniversary this weekend with family events organized by a dedicated committee of community organizations.
The committee was made up of local members with many being from the Community Association of Georgeville and Georgeville Historical Society (GHS).
Arianne Ettehadieh, a student ambassador for the GHS, explained how their organization got involved.
“We became a part of the 225th celebration because we’re essentially celebrating the birth of Georgeville, the history of the village itself. So in collaboration with the Community Association of Georgeville we’ve been planning this event for about a year.”
