Grace Village takes a groundbreaking step forward

A crowd of hundreds gathered in the parking lot of the La Source elementary school in Huntingville on Thursday morning for the official groundbreaking ceremony of the Massawippi Retirement Communities’ Grace Village Pavillion. Planned as a way of bringing the aging Connaught Home and Grace Village into the modern age and optimizing services to residents, the new facility will be built directly adjacent to the current home in Huntingville and, if all goes according to plan, will someday serve as many as 120 residents.

“All this is for you,” said Greg Bishop, Executive Director of Massawippi Retirement Communities, to the residents in attendance on Thursday morning. “Today is a day to celebrate.”
