Granby CHSLD hunger strike short-lived following private meetings

The CHSLD Leclerc in Granby was thrust under the spotlight Wednesday as several residents announced they were going on a hunger strike to protest the long-term care home’s meal options, which they say is often inedible and unacceptable.

Annie Tétreault, a resident at CHSLD Leclerc, spoke to media on Wednesday. During her press conference, she spoke about food being one of the biggest challenges for residents. The present meal options are disgusting, she said, with no salt, no sugar, and hardly any variety.
