This past Saturday, Grace Village saw over 75 walkers and 20 volunteers hit the streets of Huntingville to raise money in support of seniors at The Grand Parade!
This fundraising walkathon occurred in cities all over the country, with Canadians walking (& rolling!) to support 22 local, senior-focused charities. The walk began at 11 a.m. with everyone participating as they were able, from 0.6km all the way to a comfortable 5km. Several Grace residents were helped by wheelchair or by specialized “Kartus” wheelchairs designed for running in duo for people with reduced mobility.
Walkers asked friends and family members to sponsor their teams – some fun team names included
