Carol Boulet, from Rock-Forest, put the City of Sherbrooke on formal notice during the question period of Monday evening’s city council meeting as a call to action on what he calls insufficient and dangerous signage on the corner of President Kennedy Street and Bourque Boulevard. The move came less than a week after his granddaughter was hit by a car at the corner, and that despite more than a year of calls for the safety of the intersection to be improved. In addition to sharing his frustration, Boulet also called out the irony of the fact that the accident took place at almost the exact same time that the city was holding a press conference on pedestrian safety on the other side of town.
