Record Staff – This Saturday, Feb. 23 marks the 7th edition of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Great Spin. The organizing committee is inviting the public to join them and the 300 registered participants, this Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 a.m. at the Maxi Club Rock Forest at 4300 Bourque Blvd in Sherbrooke. With donations at $86,830, the Sherbrooke Great Spin will start the day with 11 waves of spinners filled with motivated participants who have no excuse not to give their maximum. Some of his waves are very special: 9:30 a.m: For the third year in a row, teacher Marie-Christine Rodrigue will be accompanied by 20 young people from Alfred-DesRochers Elementary School. “There’s nothing better than getting the kids moving and sending a positive message.” she said.
