Record Staff – The internationally-recognized Habitat for Humanity is partnering with the City of Sherbrooke and local businesses to build a triplex on College Street in Lennoxville this fall. This triplex will allow three low-income Sherbrooke families, each with several children, to live in an affordable and comfortable home and improve their quality of life.
“Along with the support of the City of Sherbrooke, we are counting on the support of many companies and hundreds of volunteers for the construction of a home that will allow three families to realize their dreams,” explained Alain Larochelle, pastor at Nativité-de-Jésus parish and a member of the board of directors Habitat for Humanity Quebec’s Board of Directors. “And as Sherbrooke Mayor Steve Lussier points out, “This project will exemplify the community spirit of our businesses and our citizens, who, I am sure, will not hesitate to give a generous helping hand. – and hope – to low-income families in the region.
