By Louise Smith – In one of her last musically led assemblies, Laura Barr had the band and choir present several musical pieces to compliment the anti-bullying theme of the school assembly. The musical numbers included “I’m Not Taking it Anymore”, “You’re Not Alone”, “True Colors”, “I Have a Voice”, and ending with “This is Me”. Elizabeth Algier sang a solo during the program called “Hug All Your Friends”. Mrs. Barr handed out the music certificates for the year. Ms. Carter handed out math certificates to the grade 3 participants in the Board’s math competition. Ms. Bates handed out prizes to the winning students in grades 6 and 7 in the Lion’s Club Peace Poster competition. Read the full story in the May 28 edition of the Brome County News.
