Highway 410 may lead to more temporary closures of the Axe de la Massawippi bike trail

By newsroom

By Emilie Hackett, Special to the Record – Construction work for the 410 Highway is well underway in Lennoxville, as the Quebec Ministry of Transport (MTQ) finished installing steel beams on the two overpass bridges that will connect the current 410 Highway to the future Highway, which will lead to route 108 near Glenday. The 410 was originally designed to connect Sherbrooke’s two universities and to reduce traffic in Lennoxville caused by large goods vehicles. The Axe de la Massawippi was blocked off for over a week while workers were installing the beams on the two bridges that will be passing over the Massawippi River. Users will be able to access the cycling trail as of today. See full story in the Wednesday, May 15 edition of The Record.
