The Shriners will return to Hatley’s Canada Day parade once again this summer, riding along on their miniature fire trucks to raise money and awareness for the Shriners Hospital of Montreal.
A long-standing tradition of the organization, Shriners are often seen driving around at all kinds of parades throughout the year, with different chapters putting their own unique twist on the display.
Ken Johnson, a Shriner and chief of the Northeast Kingdom Fire Brigade in Newport, Vermont, leads the Fire Brigade Motor Corp seen at many local events.
