House fire in ­Sherbrooke

The Sherbrooke Fire Department received a call around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday regarding a fire in a single-family home on rue Pin-Solitaire in Sherbrooke. According to fire chief Simon Brière, the fire started at the back of the home on the balcony. Two residents were evacuated from the home and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Brière estimated the damages to the home to be in the vicinity of $100,000.
