In 1964, Jean-Charles Labranche, a businessman from East Bolton, and his wife Yvette Dodier, took a trip to the space launch complex in Cape Canaveral, Florida, where they got the chance to see the Apollo rocket. Upon returning home from their trip, Labranche decided he would like to have his own rocket. He decided to build one on his own property and mounted it in 1965 where the rocket remains to this day.
