By Matthew McCully – Funeral services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the St-Eugène Church in Granby for the seven-year-old girl who died last week after being found by police in critical condition at her father’s home.
While the tragic death raised concerns province-wide about possible flaws in youth protection services, the focus Thursday was on the young girl. Hundreds attended the ceremony. The inside of the church was lined with flowers and stuffed animals. During the service, attendees were invited to take a stuffed animal and pass it on to a child as a way to honour the girl’s memory. See full story in the Friday, May 10 edition of The Record.
