Inn owners in Stanstead ready for  American visitors

Last week, the federal government announced the Canadian border will reopen for non-essential travel to Americans starting Aug. 9, which means inn owners in Stanstead will soon experience a much-needed boost in tourism.
Jean Desrosiers, co-owner of the Auberge Le Sunshine, told The Record in a phone interview that it’s great news for the town, and for his small, family-owned inn. According to Desrosiers, American tourists make up roughly 40 per cent of his business revenue.
