North Hatley’s Patterson Webster is a writer, visual artist, garden designer, and speaker. Recently, she added author to that list with the release of her new book, Autobiography of a Garden.
Townshippers may be familiar with Webster’s Glen Villa Art Garden in North Hatley, a conventional country property transformed into a creative landscape that challenges the concept of a garden. “Autobiography of a Garden is really the story of how working on a garden over a period of 20 years or so changed me and changed my approach to gardening,” said Webster. What was once a standard garden developed into a “place where history, memories, and personal experiences shaped the landscape.”
