Launched in 2018, the CHUS Foundation’s major fundraising campaign aims to raise $40 million by the end of the 2022 fiscal year. With 75 per cent of the goal already reached, earlier this week the foundation announced the creation of a team of local businessmen and women to lead the campaign.
The Co-chairs of the newly formed fundraising cabinet will be Éric Bujold, Founding President of National Bank Private Management 1859 and Alain Lemaire, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cascades.
The other cabinet members will include Daniel Beaucage, President and founder of Groupe Beaucage, Mario Beaudoin, President of MB Capital, Michèle Dionne, collaborator with the Red Cross for 15 years and author of the book Mission, Alain Paquin, consulting partner at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton and Peter Provencher, Investment Advisor at Manulife.
“The goal of this campaign is much more than a financial objective,” explained co-chair Alain Lemaire. “It is first and foremost a project that will benefit the entire Eastern Townships community and other regions that benefit from the specialized care offered in Sherbrooke, he said. “Its success will only be possible with the mobilization of all stakeholders in the community.”
