The Record would like to wish a very happy birthday to Irene Brown, who turned 105 years old Tuesday.
This reporter had the privilege of attending two of Brown’s previous birthday parties. When she turned 100, living at Place Sandborn in Ayer’s Cliff, she shared two secrets to a long, happy life. Ivory soap, and keeping one’s teeth.
Last year on her birthday she confirmed that she does indeed still have her teeth. She then held up her hand to pose for a picture, “I’ll give you my regal look,” she said.
Still looking regal, complete with tiara, Brown was feted by family and friends at Manoir Stanstead Tuesday.
While celebrating a milestone during a pandemic is decidedly unfun, Brown was nonetheless given the royal treatment to kick off her 105th year.
