Isolated Townshippers join in on the search for rainbow connection

By Gordon Lambie

Over the weekend Rainbows started to pop up in street-facing windows around the Eastern Townships as a part of a larger grassroots movement to connect with one another during this period of social isolation. United for the most part by the slogan “ça va bien aller” which, roughly translated, comes out to “it will get better” the colourful drawings offer passersby or those gazing out of nearby windows a message of hope in what has become a very challenging time. Many participants are also sharing their creations online with the #çavabienaller hashtag, which allows one to see all of the artworks tagged in one place.
