“She’s always had a heart for people struggling in life,” Nancy Beattie said, referring to her daughter ADA.
On Thursday afternoon, Ada and her mom delivered several jumbo Costco paper bags filled with warm clothing to Mental Health Estrie to be distributed to people in need this winter.
The bags came from Lennoxville Elementary School thanks to Ada’s initiative to run a collection campaign.
While in Grade 4 at LES, she wrote a letter to the school’s governing board asking for permission to do a collection for Mental Health Estrie’s HUGS campaign. They agreed and Ada provided a bag to each class for donations.
