It’s time for winter tires

The Ministry of Transportation is reminding owners of motorized road vehicles registered in Quebec that winter tires must be installed no later than Dec. 1. Previously December 15, the new deadline for winter tire installation allows for better adaptation to changing and increasingly unpredictable weather conditions, and increases road user safety, the ministry said. The obligation to install winter tires applies to any motorized road vehicle registered in Québec other than a heavy vehicle, a tool vehicle or an agricultural machine, as well as to any leased vehicle regardless of its place of registration.
