JEVI launches its 34th annual lottery for suicide ­prevention

By Emilie Hackett, Special to the Record – It was an emotional morning at the Clinique Opto-Réseau in Lennoxville on Tuesday, as JEVI launched its 34th annual lottery, along with Dr. Alain Côté, the campaign’s honorary president. The lottery, organized by Clément Vallières, executive assistant at JEVI, aims to help finance the organization’s operations. JEVI’s services include a crisis line, counselling for suicidal individuals and friends and relatives, support groups for those affected by loss from suicide, children’s therapy group for grief counselling, and much more.
