The JEVI – Estrie suicide prevention centre closed its 36th annual fundraising campaign on Wednesday with a virtual draw revealing the 12 grand prize winners of the JEVI lottery, and announcing that the $100,000 fundraising goal had been surpassed.
Ghyslain Goulet, Honorary President of the fundraising campaign, proudly announced that 600 tickets were sold and additional donations exceeded $30,000, bringing the fundraising grand total to $120,610.
“These results show that people want to continue to have access to JEVI’s free and professional services. Townshippers want to support their parents, brothers, sisters, colleagues or friends who are in distress and see no way out,” commented Goulet in a press release.
