Record Staff – Local singer songwriter Jonathan MacAulay and his band will perform Friday, Dec. 7 at the Salle Guy Veilleux in Cookshire. The concert will include original compositions by MacAulay as well as a handful of cover songs. This is the last chance to catch the local performer and his band before MacAulay embarks on a four-month trip playing music abroad. He will be joined on stage by bassist Jonathan-Guillaume Boudreau, drummer Jean-Francois Bégin, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Alexandre Cattaneo and keyboard player Jason Drew.
MacAulay, who graduated from Bishop’s where he studied jazz guitar, released his debut album, ‘Solid Ground’ in 2015. A versatile musician, MacAulay’s songs have elements of folk, blues and country. The show will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are available through the website salleguyveilleux.com. Published in the Friday, Dec. 7 edition of The Record.
